Take a Tour of Villa Do Barro
There are three bedrooms available in Villa do Barro: two single rooms and one double with two twin beds. You can choose the room you like based on availability on your selected dates. All prices are based on self guided residency. Please contact us if you're interested in adding a more structured residency with guidance from Nicole, or you'd like to have instruction from an artist in our local artist collective.
2026 Pricing and Availability
Residencies are offered on first come first served basis. Room or whole house booking depends on availability. Pricing depends on length of stay, residency goals (self guided vs instruction) and time of year. Contact me for a video tour and more information.

Villa do Barro
Summer scenes from the garden and views in front of the house, with studio pup Lucy. More video tours coming soon.
The Blue Room
A medium sized room with a twin bed. We call it the blue room because of the bedding and art. The decor is a small nod to the traditional Portuguese azulejos (blue and white tiles).

Pink Room
This room has one of the original light fixtures, a sort of Mid-century modern boomerang pendant light with pretty pink glass shades, that cast a rosy reflection on the walls. It has a comfy queen sized bed and pretty village and orchard views.
The Crystal Room
Named for the old school crystal chandelier that hangs from the ceiling, this is the largest bedroom in the house, and therefore can accommodate two guests in separate twin beds. (Only one bed shown here) It has a large double window, and fabulous sunrise views.
Shared Areas
Living Room, Kitchen and Bath
The residency house has a full kitchen, with a gas oven/stove, full sized fridge, pots, pans, dishes, coffee grinder, french press and Moke pot for coffee making, everything you need to cook meals and store food.
Bathroom has a standing shower, soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, towels, first aid kit. There is a second, smaller bathroom with a standing shower below the house in the studio.
Living/Dining room with a wraparound balcony perfect for sipping coffee or wine. Pretty views, and generally quiet area. This little section of the house is the perfect place for relaxing, or getting to know other resident artists.
