Alocasia Regal Shield Planter- Pre-Order
- A few left in stock!
My Regal Shield was my muse for this planter. I just love the sculptural quality of the leaves, so I had to sculpt one onto a planter. The saucer thrown attached to the planter, and has a drainage hole in the back of the pot.
The leaf and saucer can be glazed in the color options below, but the body of the planter is left unglazed and will patina over time.
Each one is one of a kind and will vary from the photos
* Because of the size and fragility of this piece, I pack it extra well in a larger box. This adds some cost to the shipping, but it also ensures that it arrives in one piece. I like to mention this in advance so there is not sticker shock on shipping at checkout.
Technical details
All pre-order planters are made to order by human hands in my studio. As I am now living in Portugal full time, some pre-order items may be made by my studio assistant Anna, and fellow potter and collaborator Wil LaBelle. We have worked extensively together to ensure consistency in quality and design. Working with a small team has several benefits:
- it allows me to share my designs in the US, EU and UK without being affected by shipping tariffs (except some taxes between Portugal and the UK).
- It creates work with two other talented artists so you aren't just supporting my art, you are also helping other artists grow and maintain a livelihood from making ceramic art.
- I can keep offering my classic designs, while also having time to create new designs to share.
Payment and shipping options- US
- Pre-order pots require payment in full.
- We ship USPS or UPS ground, whichever price is best.
- All pre-orders ship by the date specified on the product page
- Not refundable
- If an item is damaged in shipping, please photograph the box and its contents to send to me. In this case we will replace the item for you.
About Pre-orders
All of my pre-order planters are handmade once they're ordered and paid for. This takes the guess work out of what sizes, and colors people like best, as you get to decide exactly which glazes and sizes you want from the drop down menus.
Since each piece is made to order, allow 6-8 weeks for shipping. It takes this long because we make pre-orders in batches, and need to fill the kiln before we can fire (we don't fire individual pieces). Many of my designs also require a very slow and controlled drying time to avoid cracking. Each piece is fired twice, the bottoms are sanded, and then they are lovingly packed and shipped to you.
Pre-order items are non-refundable.
