Mini Potted Hoya - Speckled White Pot

Sale Price:$29.00 Original Price:$39.00
sale

I began working in miniature last year after my hip surgery. It was something I could create while I healed. After we moved last September, it took a while to get a studio set up in Portugal, but I had my tiny wheel, and access to my friend’s small kiln, so making tiny planted pots continued to be my creative outlet.

The planter is thrown on the wheel, and I use silicone molds, made from tiny leaves I sculpted, to make the leaves. Each one is sculpted into the planter and hand painted with under glazes, fired and glazed to add the shine.

Hide in a fairy garden, or hang it anyplace you need some plant whimsy.
