Forest Fires and Waterfalls
I began working on this painting while the Columbia River Gorge was burning (from a teenager tossing fireworks on the Eagle Creek trail). It was hard to imagine such a serene and beautiful place engulfed in flames. In the news coverage the trees and hillsides glowed an eery red. This painting is inspired by that. The good news is, this area is lush with new growth now (7 years later).
Original is acrylic on canvas; 48” h x 24” w.
Archival quality giclee prints are available on water color paper through the drop down menu. I ordered a ton of prints in January 2020 for all the art festivals that got canceled and have been sitting on these prints since then. They are on super sale- so get em while you can!
