6" Scalloped Gatsby Planter and Saucer - Pre-order

The Gatsby is an airy 6” planter inspired by the Art Deco style of the roaring 20s. I loved the novel “The Great Gatsby” when I was in high school, so when several people suggested the name, I knew it was a perfect fit for this pot.

The planter is slipcast, using a mold made from one of my handthrown pots. I then measure the design in thirds, before carving the lines and poking the holes to create a symmetrical pattern. The Saucer is thrown on the wheel, and both pieces are glazed in a color of your choosing!

Dimensions: Approximately 6” diameter by 5.5” high

This planter is great for air plants like orchids, or for any plant that thrives in a chunky well aerated soil. You can plant directly in the pot, or nestle a nursery pot inside, making it a versatile planter for just about any plant.
